Yoram Kraus is among the prominent members of the Israel mountain climbing community. When establishing SMS, he integrated the principles and spirit underlying the sport of mountain climbing - teamwork, excellence and striving for victory.

Discharged from the IDF as a lieutenant colonel, his last military position was commander of the underwater task force. Holds an MBA in marine and shore studies from Haifa University.
